Renting a Car for My Next Trip to Save Miles on My Lease
There is a lot of controversy about leasing versus financing a vehicle these days. However, I have always preferred to lease. I think if you cannot afford to buy a new car every two to three years but you like the luxury and reliability of newer vehicles it can be a great option. However, the only problem I continuously have is the limitation on the mileage. Therefore, for my last lease I realized it was more cost effective to go to an Orlando car rental and rent a gas efficient vehicle for longer trips and save the miles on my lease.
In Florida, even the smallest trip can be a long drive. I visit Orlando and Fort Lauderdale on a regular basis to visit family and my lease was paying the price (or should I say I was). Therefore, I now look for Fort Lauderdale rental cars or Orlando rental cars depending on where I am traveling. This way I can enjoy my trips without stressing about how many miles I can allot myself.
I think I have probably reduced my overall annual mileage by a couple thousand miles and I don’t anticipate paying the dealership for my miscalculations any more.
