My First Set of Aftermarket Wheels
I remember when I went out and bought my very first set of aftermarket wheels for my car. My first car was a 1981 Nissan 280ZX; not long after getting the wheels, I also lowered the car about an inch using lowering springs. God, that car looked good like that!
Hard to believe that was nearly 10 years ago. Aftermarket wheel manufacturers are coming out with better custom rims all the time. For instance, there are some great performance wheels by well-known companies, such as MRR wheels. You can also get wheels for specific makes and models, such as Lexus wheels.
Unfortunately, I rather doubt I’ll ever again have the money to dump into my car like that. Aftermarket wheels are expensive, and I’m all grown up now, so I have more responsibilities — a mortgage, credit card bills I’m trying to pay down, a bunch of pets, etc. Probably in a few years I’ll also be a mommy, which is not only a huge expense but also rather time consuming.
I sure miss being able to spend my entire paycheck as I pleased!
